Ali and Ahmed go to Canberra
Earlier this month, our CEO Ali Ahmed, Executive Director Ahmed Hassan and Chair Greg Lee, travelled to Canberra where they met with the Minister of Youth and Sport, Senator the Hon. Richard Colbeck (pictured left), to spread the word about YAY’s fantastic work and to discuss issues facing multicultural youth.

Climate Strike

YAY is proud to be amongst thousands of businesses who encouraged their employees to participate in the September 20 Climate Strike. Pictured left is our Administrative Coordinator Emily, who marched alongside approximately 150,000 other Victorians to demand stronger climate action.

The Hon. Gabrielle Williams MP and the Girls Leadership Program (GLP)

Earlier this month, GLP Coordinator Nuha, (pictured left) and GLP participant (pictured right) met the Minister of Youth, Hon. Gabrielle Williams MP, alongside our executive team. The success of the GLP in creating a supportive environment for diverse young women to flourish, continually captures the attention of influential people in Australia. We are proud of the participants for continually working on  their basketball skills and voicing their experiences as young multicultural women.
